I had a look at Electronic Art’s ‘Army of Two’ while I was at GDC. This was one of a huge number of games being prepped for release. Apart from the titles themselves, there were some solid game engine technologies being shown off. In many respects, this was the most exciting part of the show.
Back on CGSociety, the Dominance War III CGTalk thread is filling up with amazing artwork from our great soldiers with Wacoms. Be sure to come by and cheer them on!
A cool new Hard-Core modeling mini-challenge has begun on CGTalk. The ‘Treasure of the Louvre’ asks you to model an original art piece from the magical Parisian museum.
There are Industry moves aplenty this week. Warner Bros. has bought New Line Cinema, and game giant SCi/Eidos has cut its workforce by 25%. It’s not all bad news though. Beenox in Montreal is working on the new Bond title from Activision and is taking on hundreds of new staff. These are interesting times indeed.
