My most sincere apologies…
Three days would be a blessing for me =D
Sadly, the last image I was working on just doesnt want to finish… I added them to a new album in the group so you guys can see… The 1st failed render (failed at 84%) was in over 3 weeks… It was my fault really, I started playing w/ priority settings, and after 3+ weeks tried to push it to realtime………….. Froze my computer dead in its tracks… I tried going for a different, fater rendering look, taking out the trees, the volume light ray cone, decreased the quality/speed on the volume fog, and after 2+ weeks, we had a power outage in the neighborhood, LOL!!! Talk about defeated!!!!! Even worse, the images were rather small, only 2200×1650 (is that the 4:3 ratio?!?) at 72 dpi……… With the Semi-Global Illumination set up (not even, maybe 9 lights on the 84% and 5 on the 94%?!?) one light w/ shadows, the volume fog, volume light rays cone, the reflective water, and the hazy atmosphere, not to mention the materials on the spheres, and I knew I was in for it, but thats still just way too long…………………… My surrealism that I output at 40×30″ at 300 dpi sometakes takes 5 days, but thats “reasonable” considering the final size…
The animations all took over 3 weeks to render, and there were 3 of them, and many failed renders and do-overs in there, add all that up and thats pretty much my absences from the group, or from anything for that matter. Rendering like that drains all system resources, making it near impossible to do anything…
But, the power short was an omen I suppose, time to move on to other things… Ill try a re-render again, but Im just itching to do something, tired of tieing my system down at the moment =D
