No luck anyone on that “FREE” Poser 5 download?!?
I seriously doubt it. I know for a while Content Paradise was offering it free, but I went there (admittedly very briefly) and saw no contention of said content =B
Daz Studios interface is actually an evolved “rip-off” of the Poser inteface, meaning no offense to the program at all. Daz Studio is full of great features, but is by no means any comparison to Poser. Ease of use is something of a matter of opinion, but even I can admit that if you remain to “just clicks”, Daz Studio is -faster/easier- to use. My low end video card (even better, my lack of =B) makes it impossible to directly manipulate figures in Daz Studio, if not for all my own presets created w/i Poser, Id find Daz Studio IMPOSSIBLE to tolerate…
As far as book, I dont think its necessary just yet… I strongly suggest experimenting w/i the program. You have no need to fear, if you make a mistake it doesnt destroy your computer (unless youre on a mac =B). Go through one of the graphics communities galleries and try giving yourself simple, short “projects” to do trying to imitate effects and imagery seen. After a while, youll be come comfortable creating your own things, using your own ideas having a basic understanding of the programs interface… Youd be surprised how much and how fast you can teach yourself. Dont forget you can ALWAYS ask a question to this group or any of the graphics communities for even very specific situations… But never neglect the power of experimentation!!!
Im curious, what other software applications do you own or plan to aqcuire?!? Please take advanatge of the freeware list posted to the groups links section… Raid the archive section at Daz3d and the free stuff section at Renderosity…
But most importantly post your work, we would all enjoy seeing your creations!
