Newbie has question about Rhino

I am a newbie to 3D modeling. I have been drawing things in 2D for some time now. I would now like to be able to render my drawings in 3D. I have included a Rhino file in the files section called “rhino_question”. I am hoping that someone with some Rhino experience can take a look at the file, and point me in the right direction. I have extruded a 2D shape in to a .25″ thick plate. I would like to cap the top and bottom of the extrusion (I do not want to cap the holes in the plate). How would I go about doing this? I have seen similar things done in demonstration videos. But, the situation was a little different. Any help would be appreciated.
