Newest 3D Work
Ive always avoided rendering in Poser and Daz Studio, mainly because of lighting issues. They have both made serious advances in those areas, making lighting alot easier than it used to be. I did a Daz Studio render the other day and was surprised at how fast it rendered and the quality of the lighting… Ive also been seeing alot of Daz Studio renders posted that a few years ago Id have right out called the poster/image creater a liar for claiming it was Daz Studio or Poser, but its just not the case.
Sadly, too many claim the image was rendered in another program, but w/ the power in the programs, its becoming a thing of the past. Poser and Daz Studio can amazingly render just as well as Vue can using HDRI lighting or other methods… Even me, after 2 years of stressing over lights, have become used to using a real sky and just cranking up the gi setting in Carrara, no outside or other lightsources needed…
Glad its working out for you… Gotta love the evolving 3d scene =D

Thank you.
I was really happy with how it came out. For once I didn’t have to mess with it a lot in post work in regards to shadow and light. I recently got Studio Light Pro for my DAZ|Studio and that was the first time using it. I have to say, it made working with the lights a LOT easier and I highly recommend it for anyone who uses DAZ and struggles with lighting. I got the lighting the first time with just very minor tweaking rather than spending hours test rendering to make sure the lights make everything look the way I want. I don’t know if these generation 4 figures are just made to render faster or the newest version of DAZ|Studio is just that much more efficient or what, but that piece rendered amazingly fast compared to some others I’ve done. It was rendered all in one shot rather than section by section (fore, mid and background) and even so it was done in a lightning fast 35 minutes. I was stunned. Usually even a simple render ends up taking hours, sometimes running overnight and STILL not complete when I wake up in the morning. Whatever did it, I hope it’s going to make all my render times that short. It would be awesome because this poor old Frankenstein monster computer of mine is generally slow when it comes to graphics programs. ![]()
